Do I need a referral?
While referrals are welcome, they are not required for you to attend the clinic.
Is chiropractic covered by Medicare?
In general, chiropractic, like private physiotherapy, osteopathy or dental care, is not covered by Medicare.
In certain circumstances, particularly if you suffer from a chronic medical condition, you may be able to claim up to five treatments under an EPC plan or the ‘Chronic Disease Allied Health (Individual) Services under Medicare’ program.
Speak to your GP to discuss whether this might be applicable to you.
Is chiropractic covered by private health insurance?
Chiropractic is a listed 'extras' service with most health funds. The amount of cover you receive per consultation, and the total limit per year, is different with each fund and level of cover.
We provide instant claiming of your health fund benefit via HICAPS.
How long does it take?
We allow 60 minutes for you inital consultation. This allows the chiropractor to take a comprehensive history, thorough examination, and make recommendations for care.
Your second visit will take approximately 30 minutes, as your chiropractor will discuss the findings of your initial consultation and guide you through your personalised treatment plan.
Subsequent visits are generally 15 minutes.
